im not 100% but check to see if its a new gen duramax or old gen i think 06 was the transition year and you could still have the injector issues

06 is one of the best year Dmaxs you can buy. They have the LBZ model duramax that doesn't really have any issues. Last year of the ijectror issues was 04 i believ which was the last year of the lb7 but those did get the best fuel mileage
